Looking at your steps for the day? The hands become a progress meter. On the heart rate zone page? The hands become a dial on the gauge. Those hands show the time of day as you’d expect, but also are used in other areas.

Except, in areas it has more powerful things, like a new expanded GPS chipset. However, setting aside fashion considerations – what I can tell you is that this thing has all the power of the Instinct 2 series inside it. Some people love this style, others hate it. As with most Instinct things, whether or not it’s pretty is in the eye of the beholder.
